Hi all,

Wow, do I ever have a lot of messages to go through; 158 of them and 258 deviations.

I will try to answer all of them and take the time to look at the deviations, but it's going to be slow going, since I won't have internet for about two weeks. I'm at my parents house now, using their computer and packing up more of my books (I have a lot of them, I love to read

)
Moving went really well, we got pretty much all the heavy, big pieces of furniture over. All, except my upright piano, which we will probably have professional movers do because it is a beast to move. I surprised myself, I'm in better shape then I thought. After moving my three huge bookcases I thought I'd be really sore (I don't exercise as much as I should), but I wasn't too bad, a little sore in the calves that's all.

My boyfriend and I have been keeping a list of things we still need, like pots and pans. All the pots and pans I used were my parents (duh) and Fred didn't really have any because he doesn't cook. He had one or two that never saw the light of day, they just sat under the sink. It's funny how much you take for granted when you live with your parents. And of course the main thing that's been going on is finding where to put things. My father said that we'll probably rearrange things at least three times before we're finally settled. It's a weird feeling but a good one being in my own house. I haven't hung up any of my pictures yet and I'm a little hesitant to do so, the walls are plaster instead of sheet rock. Does anyone know if it's okay to just start hammering away and hanging things anywhere I want to on plaster walls? I know (at least with sheet rock) if it is something heavy, like a mirror you need to find a stud in the wall to support the weight. I don't feel like creating more projects by destroying the walls trying to hang up pictures. So if anyone knows, please let me know.
In the middle of the hectic moving was a nice little diversion. I had gotten, as a Christmas present, tickets to see Rush on their tour for their new album, Snakes and Arrows. The concert was on July 7th. It was awesome!!!! I've seen RUSH three times now and they never disappoint, they always give a really good show! They played for almost three hours. They didn't play one of my favorite songs, Mystic Rhythms, but hey, you can't have everything. They did play Between the Wheels and I think that this is the first time I've heard that one live.We had awesome seats too, six rows from the stage! They finished the second set with Tom Sawyer (always a clssic) and then came back out for an encore and played One Little Victory, A Passage to Bangkok, and YYZ. They are one of my all time favorite bands and I'd see them again in a heart beat.

By the way; does anyone else find this new version of DA as confusing as I do?

A studfinder from Home Depot is an invaluable tool and to prevent your plaster from cracking while putting a nail in it, place some scotch tape over the place where ya going to put the nail. IT really helps!!
Oh yes, the Ducky does the same thing at whenever I'm at me parents house for dinner, go onto their computer! But the only thing is with DA's new format, it's too much for that vintage 1998 Gateway computer to handle. I mean it really takes forever to change screens, and DA really runs so slow!!! It's really quite aggravating!!
If ya should have any questions in the future about home repair, just send the Ducky a note
